Kate, you're SAFE!
- Gary Mehigan -

Those were the words Kate and Alana wanted to hear. But sadly for Alana, it was a case of "So close; Yet so far". Tonight it was down to the FINAL Elimination Challenge before the Grand Finale of MasterChef Australia 2011.

Admittedly, both of them did really well handling renowned patissier, Adriano Zumbo's creation - the Gingerbread Hansel & Gretel House.

Over the past few seasons, Adriano created numerous challenging creations such as the V8 Vanilla Cake, Croquembouche & the Macaron Tower. All of his creations look just too nice to be eaten, seriously. These recipes may seem simple but they require sheer technique and have tripped up many contestants...oh my! Certainly made harder for a homemaker if he/she were to replicate the recipes at home. Enough said. He really lives up to his name as the Smiling Assassin.

I am a self-confessed fan of MasterChef Australia. Who isn't? Guess it's the attractive nature of the show itself, touching on food/cooking; something that is so close to one's heart. No wonder it's the highest rated TV programme in Australia! It's popularity even eclipsed the Elections Debate last year...

Right now, I just can't wait to find out who will be the winner come Sunday. Will it be Kate or Michael?

Only time will tell. So enjoy the last episode of MasterChef Australia everyone and have a bubbling good time
(ps: allusion to a hot pot that's set to boil over ahaha!).
